Our Story

Before it became the wedding venue you see today, The Barn at Mills Farm was simply home.

For generations, this farm was lovingly cared for by our grandparents, whose hard work, faith, and dedication built the foundation of everything it is today. What once served as a working tobacco barn stood as a symbol of family, tradition, and countless memories made on this land.

In 2020, the next generation stepped in with a dream of preserving that legacy. As four granddaughters who grew up loving this farm, we poured our hearts into transforming the barn into a place where new stories could begin. While much has changed, the spirit of the farm remains the same—a place where family gathers, memories are made, and love is celebrated.

Every wedding, every event, and every moment shared here becomes part of a story much bigger than our own. We are honored to continue our grandparents’ legacy by welcoming families to The Barn at Mills Farm and helping create memories that will last for generations to come.

  • Dream come true! The Barn at Mills Farm is absolutely breathtaking!! My husband and I got married there in 2022, and getting married at this venue was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process. The owner, Jennifer, is a delight to work with. She truly cares about all of her brides and will go above and beyond to make sure your day is magical. One of my favorite features of this venue is that it allows for the option of an inside ceremony. This allowed me to have peace of mind while planning a wedding a year in advance. If it rains, you still have a beautiful space to have your ceremony in. I also love the bridal cottage. It is the cutest house on the property that you and your bridal party can stay in the night before the wedding. It makes everything 100x more magical and allows for beautiful getting ready pictures! I could write a book about how amazing this venue is. I highly recommend!!

She responded fast whenever I had questions and helped with finding vendors. The weather changed & we ended up moving our ceremony to the inside location at the last minute, but Jennifer and her team made sure it was beautiful. We had such a great experience here and our guests have talked about how beautiful and fun our wedding was.
